This week marks 20 years since the murders of three young boys rocked the mid-south to its very core.
The bodies of Christopher Byers, Stevie Branch and Michael Moore were found in a wooded area of West Memphis on May 6th, 1993.
One day later, 20 years ago today, Damien Echols was questioned for the first time.
He would later be tried, and convicted, along with Jason Baldwin and Jessie Misskelly.
The so-called “West Memphis 3″ spent the next 18 years in prison, until agreeing to an Alford Plea in 2011.
It allowed them to maintain their innocence, while pleading guilty.
Damien speaks out about his ongoing quest for exoneration in his best-selling book “Life After Death”.
